We have been trying to delete a survey using the batch update JNCCDel5, but this fails to remove the survey itself and does not remove references in the user_survey_restriction table so the survey cannot be delted manually without cleaning out these references.

Has this batch update been updated to reflect this since we installed it?

I note that there is also a Delete survey add-in, we have not tried to use this yet.

Which is the correct (or best) way to remove a survey with data in?

There is version of the Batch update which copes with this, but I am not sure if it has been included in a release . I have uploaded it to http://forums.nbn.org.uk/uploads.php?file=JNCCDel5Records.xml

The batch Update is designed to cope with deleting records at various levels (eg. Survey event)  and originally only included Survey for completeness. The Addin is designed specifically for the Survey and appears to copes with User Survey Restrictions. At the moment both do the same job.
