Topic: Preferred English name for Mythimna unipuncta

At present the preferred English name for this species on the UKSI and sources that derive their dictionaries from it appears to be 'American Wainscot'. However my understanding is that the preferred name in use in the UK is 'White-speck'. Assuming the above is correct, I wondered if this could be reflected in a future update please, so that the correct English name appears online on iRecord and the NBN Atlas.

Thanks

Re: Preferred English name for Mythimna unipuncta

Hi Mark

I think in this case both have been marked as recommended, which has added to the confusion and all of the White-speck names have been marked ill-formed, which isn't correct either. I'll fix that here :)
