It's only B and D that are .zip files, C and E are .sql files. You need to dump them into the scripts folder as-is; don't unzip them, rename them or otherwise change them otherwise the upgrade won't work.
It should also be noted that some dictionary upgrades take a VERY long time (several hours), depending on the size of the upgrade file and how many you're doing. The dictionary upgrade tool will look like it has crashed because it sits there during the upgrade with a rather baleful "not responding" message. If it looks like it has stopped working, check the Windows Task Manager Processes or Performance tab to see if your CPU is crunching away. If it is, then it's still working and you should just leave it alone. If your CPU is not apparently doing anything, then it probably has indeed crashed and we'll need to look at it further.
The current behavior of the dictionary upgrade tool - when it says "not responding" - is VERY misleading and confusing to users, so hopefully it'll be one of the things looked at in the next development cycle.
