Topic: Dictionary 4V
Hello Mike,
I've been taking a look at the taxon hierarchy in the latest dictionary and comparing taxon groups for species that have the same parent - there seem to be a few anomalies:
The liverwort Metzgeria pubescens (TLIK NBNORG0000023703, TVK NBNSYS0000037057) has NBNORG0000040459 as it's parent key which belongs to a genus of Molluscs - I think it's parent key should be NBNORG0000050058
The species Navicella pileata (NBNORG0000081832, NHMSYS0001490659) and Navicella pusilla (NBNORG0000107059,NHMSYS0020955122) have NBNORG0000081831 as their parent key which is odd as N. pileata is a fungus and N. pusilla is a diatom
Trichodiscus elegans (NBNORG0000070114,NHMSYS0000607350) and Trichodiscus virescentulus (NBNORG0000006229,BMSSYS0000018885) have NBNORG0000084912 as their parent key when T. elegans is an alga and T. virescentulus is a fungus
I've also found a few species that appear to have the wrong taxon group associated:
Cyrtomium fortunei (NBNORG0000116765,NHMSYS0021128402) is linked to flowering plants but it's a fern
Dryopteris cambrensis subsp. cambrensis (NBNORG0000116768,NHMSYS0021128408) is also linked to flowering plants but it's a fern
Herbertus norenus (NBNORG0000116595,NHMSYS0021125883) is linked to mosses but it's a liverwort
Rhyacodrilus subterraneus (NBNORG0000122890,NHMSYS0021168947) is linked to acarine (Acari) but should be an annelid
Strigula stigmatella (NBNORG0000084465,NBNORG0000016164) is linked to fungus when its two varieties are lichens
