Topic: Common names for Odonata

The preferred common names for Odonata on my copy of R6 appear to be very odd, not using the standard English names (Common Ishnura instead of Blue-tailed Damselfly, Common Coenagrion instead of Azure Damselfly). Is this just on my machine or is this the same elsewhere?

Ha, we have the same issue. Very odd. We are on dictionary version 0000004R (latest I believe). I've run the check numbers report and everything lined up as it should.

Thanks Paul - good to know it's not just me. Hopefully someone can look at the dictionary and put a fix in a future update.

I think that's likely to be an issue with Recorder6 so worth raising with Mike. In the UKSI Azure Damselfly is the recommended vernacular name and Common Coenagrion is marked as a junior synonym vernacular.
