Topic: Mycosphaerella tassiana (De Not.) Johanson query

Mycosphaerella tassiana (De Not.) Johanson is listed on the UKSI with Cladosporium herbarum  (Pers.) Link as a synonym.

However, PESI, Index Fungorum and Worms quote Cladosporium herbarum  (Pers.) Link as a species and not a synonym of M. tassiana.

I think our current use, placing Mycosphaerella tassiana as the accepted name is correct, in that the BMS look after this and Richard Shotbolt has recently synchronised our fungi with the world taxonomy which should be IndexFungorum compliant :)
