Topic: Andrena ampla

Hi Chris

I have received a record for Andrena ampla, looks to be a split from A proxima and might need an agg. or s. lat. as well

comment from recorder "the mining bee Andrena ampla hasn't yet been formally added to the British list, so won't appear on the Recorder species index. It is has been overlooked under A.proxima, ... There is a 2nd record for A. proxima agg. this is because I didn't retain the specimen (wasn't aware at the time that there were 2 v. similar species)"

Andrena proxima ampla Warncke, 1967)

Re: Andrena ampla

That's an interesting one Gordon - we have the species already (TVK=NHMSYS0021194542) but it was marked redundant. I'll resurrect it and think about adding the recording aggregate :)
