Topic: Lepidoptera subspecies - Graylings

I know this has been discussed before but I can't find the thread. Hopefully this is a slightly different take on it though!

In my copy of Recorder (dictionary 00000048), the genus Hipparchia has two children:
The subgenus: Hipparchia (Parahipparchia)
The Binomial species: Hipparchia semele

There are 7 subspecies of Hipparchia semele, one of them using the binomial as the parent, the others all being linked to the subgenus.

This is only one example, and there may be others, but can this be looked at - ideally it should go:
Genus - subgenus - species - subspecies

Re: Lepidoptera subspecies - Graylings

Hi Dave - in my version of the Organism table all subspecies are linked to the species. The subgenus is just by itself.
