Topic: Wildlife and Countryside Act Schedule 9 species

Is the Wildlife and Countryside Act Schedule 9 designation still maintained in the R6 dictionary?  I've only had a quick look but I suspect that species added to the act in 2010 are not designated with sch9 parts 1 or 2 in the R6 dictionary.

Can any confirm this (or tell me I'm wrong)?

Re: Wildlife and Countryside Act Schedule 9 species

Hi Andy

I have a feeling that Graham French at the JNCC is updating extra designations. If they are in their copy spreadsheet then they should be in the UKSI (or soon to be in the UKSI)

Best wishes,
Chris R.

Thanks for the info Chris.

Does that mean that the UKSI (and Recorder6) is currently out-of-date (as I suspect)?

Re: Wildlife and Countryside Act Schedule 9 species

We updated the UKSI in March (if memory serves) and there were JNCC updates to the SOCC list but I can't say which should be in there - that's a question best aimed at Graham, as he and the team know exactly which legislation has been adopted in their database. I just know that he did mention that a few more were going in later and I should expect an update. I am actually working on an update now but I just get the data to manipulate and I'm not entirely sure what this will allow for.
