Topic: Common Sorrel

The common name Common Sorrel is applied both Rumex acetosa and Rumex acetosa subsp. acetosa. However in Recorder 6 I'm being presented with only Rumex acetosa subsp. acetosa when searching for Common Sorrel on the VASCULAR plants list.

1) Is the common name correctly applied to both the species and subspecies?

2) Why when searching the VASCULAR plants list is only the subspecies being returned? (both species and subspecies are returned when search recommended names).

Thanks!!

Re: Common Sorrel

That might be a R6 issue so I'd aim it at Mike, if the basic data in the UKSI looks OK.
