Topic: New Weevil To Britain - Onyxacalles gibraltarensis

Dear Chris,

Mark Telfer discovered a weevil new to Britain on a brownfield site near Sandwich in April last year (2016).  Bizarrely it was only previously known from a small area of southern Spain and northern Morocco.  Onyxacalles gibraltarensis (Stüben, 2002) is its name.  Paper just published - PDF here:  https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BxY4Lb … xyVGM/view

Could you please add this species to the UKSI and onwards to the Recorder Dictionary family.

Many thanks.

Steve
