Topic: Syntrichia ruralis subsp.

Hi Chris

Out of my depth here.

Can you add Syntrichia ruralis subsp. ruralis and S. ruralis subsp. ruraliformis?

I'm not sure of the synonymy issues it will create as I believe these two are considered 'good' taxa but they appear to be sunk under species (as Tortula) at the moment.

I can't find a good reference to justify this other than the BBS info sheets: http://rbg-web2.rbge.org.uk/bbs/Activit … formis.pdf and http://rbg-web2.rbge.org.uk/bbs/Activit … uralis.pdf

But regardless I would like to enter a record of Syntrichia ruralis subsp. ruralis so whatever lets me do that :-)

Thanks!!

Re: Syntrichia ruralis subsp.

No problem Charlie

I have added them but have synonymised them with the respective species because that seems to be correct.
