Topic: some moss variations!

According the the Recorder preferred list "Wavy Beard-moss" is given as "Didymodon sinuosus", but records entered as D.sinuosus are displayed and the 'Recommended Taxon Name' for reports is given as Oxystegus sinuosus.

The same is the case for:
Narrow-fruited Crisp-moss : preferred list Trichostomum tenuirostre; reports display Oxystegus tenuirostris

This causing me problems in an external routine which relies on the preferred TVK

Re: some moss variations!

Hi Craig

The moss checklist does need updating and I'm working with Oli Pescott but it is slow progress (on my part). Am I right in saying that the checklist is just an older taxonomy to the master taxonomy? I have Oxystegus as the correct genus for both taxa - is this wrong?

Thanks
