Topic: Deathcap

I have just noticed that Amanita phalloides (TLIK = NHMSYS0001392622) is not an allowed taxa for data entry purposed. Is there a reason for this, or is it an error that has been introduced recently? I have not checked to see if there are other examples. The only selection that is allowed is synonymised with Amonita verna. I'm not a mycologists, but I would at least like to be able to enter it as the recorder determined it before the dictionary over-rides it with modern taxonomy!

Have you seen http://forums.nbn.org.uk/viewtopic.php?id=6720

An update on http://jncc.defra.gov.uk/page-4612 which should fix the problem (if it's the same cause)
