Topic: New Mite To The British Isles

Chris,

Could you please add the Oribatid mite Liacarus (Dorycranosus) splendens (Coggi, 1898) to the UKSI and thereby to the Recorder family please.

Steve Trewhella has recently found a specimen in the strandline on a beach in Poole Harbour.  The specimen has been verified by Matthew Shepherd.

Many thank.s
Steve

All added - we don't usually have the subgenus in the name so I have added yours as a junior synonym to the standard binomial :)
