Topic: Requirement for Mecidea lindbergi Wagner 1954

Chris,

The pentatomid Shieldbug Mecidea lindbergi Wagner 1954 was caught by Paul Harris on the 17th December 2015 in Weymouth and it was identified by Tristan Bantock.  Seven further records of the species occurred between the 18th December and the 30th December 2015.  All the records were on, or near, the south-coast of England between Exeter (VC3) and Portsmouth (VC11) and all were taken in moth-traps (except one found on a garage wall).

For an account see the Atropos magazine (issue 56) pages 23-25.

Cheers,
Steve
