Topic: Powdery Mildew (Neoerysiphe nevoi)

Chris,

Sorry to be a nuisance but I have tonight attempted to put a record of the Powdery Mildew (Neoerysiphe nevoi) from Cumbria in 2015 into RODIS and Gilbert-21 - both of these use the Online Webservices NBN Taxon Dictionary.  In both cases this species is NOT shown but it IS shown in the UKSI.

Is it a recent addition to the UKSI and it has not made it to the Webservices Dictionary as yet or is it one that has 'slipped through the net' ??

Many thanks for your help.

Oh, and by the way - Happy New Year !!

Cheers,
Steve

Happy New Year Steve! :)

I can see it is on the DB here but I think RODIS & Gilbert21 both haven't had updates for a while - if you could encourage them to get in touch then I'd be happy to give them a copy :)

Re: Powdery Mildew (Neoerysiphe nevoi)

Hi Chris,

Both RODIS (rECOrd - Cheshire LRC) and Gilbert-21 (Richard Burkmar) use the online webservices dictionary from the NBN and neither hold species names within them so they cannot be updated but rely on the webservices dictionary being up to date.

Do you happen to know when this species was added to the UKSI and if so, when it is likely that the webservices dictionary would have been updated to include it ??

Cheers and thanks for all the updates today !

Ahh, then if they use the NBN webservices they should get access to the new names very soon. Graham French has been going through some minor technical issues with me over the last few days. Apparently they were delayed by the flooding up in Lancaster.
