Flammulina elastica (Sacc.) Redhead & R.H. Petersen, Mycotaxon 71: 293 (1999)

Synonymy:
Agaricus elasticus Lasch, Bot. Ztg. 15: 171 (1857)
Collybia elastica Sacc., Syll. fung. (Abellini) 5: 212 (1887)
Flammulina elastica (Sacc.) Redhead & R.H. Petersen, Mycotaxon 71: 293 (1999) f. elastica
Flammulina elastica f. longispora (Bas) Redhead & R.H. Petersen, Mycotaxon 71: 293 (1999)
Flammulina velutipes f. longispora Bas, Persoonia 12(1): 62 (1983)

First recorded in the UK in 2010, separated from F. velutipes by DNA studies, and can be separated according to spore size.
Recently found and identified by Chris Johnson on South Uist.
