Topic: New Fungal Species to Britain

Chris,

A new fungal species has been found in Britain - this being:  Cortinarius nolaneiformis (Velen.) Dima, Niskanen & Liimat., 1939 found on Hampstead Heath (?).  See here:  http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/ar … 4115000237

It appears to require adding to the UKSI.

Cheers.

Thanks Steve - added

Cortinarius nolaneiformis (Velen.) Dima, Niskanen & Liimat., 1939

The date at the end of a fungus authority is a bit contentious but I have added it like this for now, as it seems to be a convention that is gaining acceptance. Not strict code but it is useful.
