Topic: Leaf-mining Dipteron

Chris,

On the web-site (http://www.ukflymines.co.uk/Flies/Paral … ttatum.php) "The Leaf and Stem Mines of British Flies and Other Insects" it shows an entry for the species Paralleloma vittatum (Meigen, 1826) [Diptera: Scathophagidae] and discusses its synonymy with Parallelomma paridis.

P.paridis has an entry in the UKSI but P.vittatum does not seem to have.  One which needs checking I think.

Cheers.

Re: Leaf-mining Dipteron

Hi Steve

I might have misread it but it doesn't look like that synonymy has been agreed upon yet by all the usual parties so I will leave them as 2 taxa. We have both:

Parallelomma paridis Hering, 1923
tvk NBNSYS0000030416

Parallelomma vittatum (Meigen, 1826)
tvk NBNSYS0000030417
