Topic: Microgasterinae Species Missing From UKSI

Chris,

This is another paper about parasitic hymenoptera: "Notes on some European Microgastrinae (Hymenoptera:
Braconidae) in the National Museums of Scotland, with twenty species new to Britain, new host data, taxonomic changes and remarks, and descriptions of two new species of Microgaster Latreille" within which there are many species not currently shown within the UKSI.

Could I ask you to check them and where needed enter them into the Dictionary ??

Is it possible to contact Mark Shaw ref a complete British checklist of all parasitica ??  Perhaps Gavin Broad could help you in the task of ensuring all British species are within the UKSI ??  Just a thought.

Many thanks

Steve

Hi Steve

I think this is all in hand because Gavin has compiled a complete Hymenoptera checklist which obviously includes all parasitica. I can add Mark's species though anyway. :)

Best wishes,

Hi Steve

That paper doesn't appear to be available online so it's going to be a pain to track down. I am sure that Gavin will have included it in his complete checklist though so, unless you are waiting to enter specific records, then I will put that on hold until I see Gavin's complete list :)

Best wishes,
Chris R.

On-hold awaiting Gavin would be fine Chris.  Sadly I have just deleted the paper from my machine (last night).

Doh! :)

I'm sure it is around here in the museum somewhere but they sent most of our stock of paper entomological journals off-site years ago, when they build the Darwin Centre and "discovered" that there wasn't enough room for the entomological library to be housed in it. If it's available anywhere as a PDF we're usually able to download 90% of them because the museum has accounts with most of the online journal publishers.
