Topic: Fish - Oncorhynchus mykiss

Chris,

I am unsure whether the Rainbow Trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) now requires the addition of a new colloquial/vernacular name or not - it seems the North American variant of the species known as a 'Steelhead' has been caught on the Hampshire Avon - see over at:

Further information on the species and form can be found here:  http://www.nmfs.noaa.gov/pr/species/fis … trout.html
