Topic: Epermenia illigerella

There seems to be a problem with this taxon on the NHM website - searching gives three results:

Epermenia illigerella (Hübner, [1813])
Epermenia illigerella Hubner
Epermenia illigerella auctorum, misident.
All three link to the same entry:

Epermenia illigerella (Hübner, [1813])  TVK NHMSYS0000519713 with a synonym of Epermenia illigerella Hubner TVK NBNSYS0000026063

However, the entry for Epermenia falciformis (Haworth, 1828) TVK NBNSYS0100003026 has a synonym of Epermenia illigerella auctorum, misident. TVK NHMSYS0000504782

Surely the entry for 'auctorum' under the search should link to the falciformis page rather than illigerella !

Re: Epermenia illigerella

Hi Craig

Thanks for pointing that out. On my own website here it brings out the correct information (so the database is correct) but there seems to be a bug in the "auctorum" link on the NHM site in that it points to illigerella, not falciformis. Bit of an oddity there but I hope that we will be redesigning that part of the site some time in the autumn to make the site much easier to use and more intuitive :)

I will mention it to the developers though in the meantime and see if they can fix it.

Best wishes,
Chris R.
