Topic: Asterocarpa humilis

Hi

We are planning to collect records of Asterocarpa humilis which I do not see in the species inventory. If it is absent, might it be added?

PESI gives it as Asterocarpa humilis (Heller, 1878)

Citation:
The Southern Hemisphere ascidian Asterocarpa humilis is unrecognised but widely established in NW France and Great Britain Biological Invasions Volume 15, Issue 2, pp 253-260

Regards,
Jim Bacon.

Re: Asterocarpa humilis

Hi Jim,

That species is due to come in when the MSBIAS list is ready to be imported. MSBIAS is a UK subset of WoRMS and I have checked that the taxon is listed there. If it is going to hold you up in the coming month or two then I can add it to the List of Additional Names - otherwise I would normally avoid duplication and just wait for the MSBIAS list. Rest assured - it will be there soon :)

Best wishes,
Chris R.
