Topic: Missing Phorids

Hi,

I've just updated to the 1A species dictionary and I've been trying to locate some recent additions to the Diptera checklist in the Phoridae. When I couldn't find them in the "Peter Chandler Diptera Checklist" I compared that to the recently updated Dipera checklist and found a number of absentees. As a novice with Recorder this could be because I'm looking in the wrong place but I can only see the one Diptera checklist. The species are as follows :

Borophaga bennetti Disney 2010
Megaselia bassetti Disney 2011
Megaselia crellini Disney 2011
Megaselia dimorphica Disney (in Weinmann & Disney 1997)
Megaselia funesta Schmitz 1935
Megaselia longistyla Brenner 2004
Megaselia nudiventris (Wood 1909) restored by Disney 2011
Megaselia shawi Disney 2006
Megaselia tignorum Disney 2010
Megaselia wigtownensis Disney 2009
Triphleba dentata Schmitz 1943 (in Disney 2011)

Hi Steve

Peter Chandler's checklist is in need of updating but I haven't had the time to go through it yet. I will slot in those names for you, into the List of Additional Names, just to get you going. I will report the new TVKs back here when they have been created :)
