Topic: Moths on RA8

I would like the list for the BRC RA8 card completely reviewed, it is both incorrect and inconsistent

1) It includes taxon not on the RA8 card which can confuse the non-taxonomist e.g. Anthocaris cardamines subsp. hibernica and subsp. britannica - the RA8 card only lists the full species

2) although the species are included on the list, it is using the current taxonomic names NOT those used to compile the card, soLeast Black Arches is Nola confusalis - whereas the original card uses Celama confusalis which cannot be found anywhere in Recorder 6 and many more species include obscure synonyms on the card, which are missing from Recorder making correct entry of records VERY difficult

Re: Moths on RA8

Hi Craig, I'm not sure about the history of RA8 but what we have in the database seems to agree with what you say is obscure. I don't have an RA8 handy but I know that there is a new Lepidoptera checklist in production so this might help. I will do some investigations here.
