Topic: Cryptophilus integer

I thought this one had been dealt with, but seems not.

According to Esser (2016) Cryptophilus integer (Heer, 1814) is a junior synonym of Micrambe abietis (Paykull, 1798) and actually consists of two species, Cryptophilus propinquus Reitter, 1874 and Cryptophilus simplex (Wollaston, 1857) (=Cryptophilus angustus (Wollaston, 1857).

I think the current feeling is we only have Cryptophilus propinquus Reitter, 1874....

... can we add Cryptophilus propinquus Reitter, 1874 and sink Cryptophilus integer (Heer, 1814) as a synonym of it (rather than Micrambe!)?

Re: Cryptophilus integer

Hi Charlie - that one sounds easy - would you also agree that we should mark the "Cryptophilus integer" as auctt. brit. to mark it as probably not the real species, which we don't have?
