Topic: Obolodiplosis robiniae

The gall midge (Cecidomyiidae, Diptera) Obolodiplosis robiniae (Haldeman, 1847) is missing from the simple version of UKSI which I download on 13th November.

This is now common on leaves of Robinia pseudoacacia as far north as Co. Durham.

The species was described as new to Britain by Skuhrava, Skuhravy & Csoka (2007) in Cecidology 22 pp 84-90. It is noted as a change in the latest revision of the Diptera checklist http://www.dipteristsforum.org.uk/docum … %2018.pdf.
