Re: Solomons Seal Sawfly

The Solomons Seal Sawfly (Phymatocera aterrima) is currently in the Recorder-3 dictionary as (Phytomatocera aterrima) - an extra 'to' in the genus name.

Is this being fixed in the new Sawfly (Symphyta) list being prepared ? Or is it/could it be fixed in the current dictionary(ies) ? (And possibly the English name added ?).

Any more news on when the new Sawfly and new Galls lists will be added into the dictionary set Charles ? Will it be with the next Recorder-6 release ?

Cheers

Re: Solomons Seal Sawfly

Dear Steve,

I am pleased to tell you that the Symphyat list should appear in the next Recorder update and the spelling of Phymatocera aterrima is now corrected. I have added Solomon's-seal Sawfly as it's common name (added to the 'List of Additional Names', with a TVK of NHMSYS0020502642).

Re: Solomons Seal Sawfly

Excellent news Charles - thank you very much indeed - I have a number of sawfly records (inc. records of Parna apicalis) sitting in a 'holding file' which have been awaiting the new dictionary entries.
