Topic: New Species of Eurydice (Crustacea: Isopoda) to Britain

Chris,

The paper here (http://core.ac.uk/download/pdf/6186775.pdf) names and describes a number of new Crustacea: Isopoda in Eurydice which are new to Britain, including Eurydice caeca.  Most of these now seem to be on the UKSI but E.caeca seems to be missing.  Perhaps it was felt to be not in British waters ???

Cheers,
Steve

Re: New Species of Eurydice (Crustacea: Isopoda) to Britain

Hi Steve

Yes, it looks very sketchy in that paper. We recently imported the WoRMS dataset which had been poured over by the experts so if they felt it was worth including in that I'm sure they would have done. If there is a new record for it then that would change things but I don't think we need to add everything, just in case. :)

Best wishes,
Chris R.
