Topic: Requirement for Nosema ceranae (Fries et al., 1996) to be Added

Chris,

Could you possibly add the Honey Bee and Bumblebee parasite Nosema ceranae (Fries et al., 1996) to the UKSI and thereby to the Recorder family please ??  See over at:  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nosema_ceranae

This parasite has now been found on Bumblebees in England as well as Honey Bees (an article in the latest Merseyside BioBank Newsletter for Feb/Mar 2015).

Cheers.

Thanks Chris - here is hoping some of the Bee Keepers get on board and enter records for parasites and pests of their hives and occupants !!!
