Topic: Conocephalus discolor

Conocephalus discolor appears as an Other synonym in the ORTHOPTERA checklist but I can't find it in the Find Taxon dialog box - can it be added?

Hi Charlie - that comes up here as a synonym in the UKSI database. Where do you need it adding?

I don't know :) I'm assuming it's a Recorder thing as I don't seem to have the ability to select it (to use it as a determination). Possibly something I've done, but I'm not sure..

Re: Conocephalus discolor

I think I have come across something like this before and assumed that is was designed this way, in that only the official synonyms within the list are selectable and that if you want to select  one of the Other Synonyms you have to use the list that synonym comes from (R3.3 for C. discolor). Someone who knows more about this will probably correct me.

Re: Conocephalus discolor

Thanks Gordon, I think I am having a senior moment - I have disabled the Recorder 3.3 list (for data entry), but for some reason thought discolor was (should be) coming from somewhere else. I'll get my coat...
