Re: Chironomid synonymy

This is not in my comfort zone, but I am advised by someone who knows a lot more about these beasts than most of us that the following should pertain (and does not).  I am posting because the problems came to light during an R6 import (but I have no more expectation of a meaningful response that I have had to most posts here in the past 9 months).

Erioptera diuturna (Walker, 1848)     TaxonVersionKey: NBNSYS0000008211 should be a synonym of Erioconopa diuturna (Walker, 1848)     TaxonVersionKey: NBNSYS0100003065 (someone else can decide the priority).

Limnophila fulvonervosa (Schummel, 1829)     TaxonVersionKey: NBNSYS0000008160 ditto of Phylidorea fulvonervosa (Schummel, 1829)     TaxonVersionKey: NBNSYS0100004600.

Does anyone out there really care?

M.

Re: Chironomid synonymy

Hi Murdo - that's sorted now - thanks. Could you give me the name of the other expert, just for my records? If he/she has any more synonyms then tell them to get in touch - there are quite a few unconfirmed combinations in that group and it would be nice to tie them down. Cheers, Chris R.
