Dear Charles et al,

The following are a few small changes which would be useful on the Dictionary (the webservices species search link which Paul provided is turning out to be a Godsend in finding out what is currently in the Dictionary etc.).

1.  The Alga Vaucheria sessilis (Vaucher) needs a synonym of Vaucheria bursata (OF Muller) adding to the Dictionary.

2.  The Gall Mite Aceria ulmicola    - needs the author and date of Nalepa, 1909 - adding to the Dictionary entry.

3.  A more complex addition/change:  The gall mite Aceria fagineus on Beech is Eriophyes nervisequus fagineus (Nalepa) (= Aceria fagineus) - neither A.fagineus or E.nervisequus fagineus is on the Dictionary.

Charles,

The gall mite issue still appears to be unresolved.  Aceria nervisequa is on the dictionary but Aceria fagineus is not and nor is its replacement Aceria nervisequus fagineus available. (See initial posting above).

Can you provide any information relating to these species and their Dictionary status ??
