Re: XML Query alternative to the NBN Exchange Add In

I've upload this to the files upload area. We had problems with the Add In not producing the required results without a lot of post processing so Mike Weideli produced this for us using part of some Natural England funding.

I've now used it to extract and submit data and it has helped a great deal. The main advantage is that it handles site data much better by concatenating the location and location name into one column and removes carriage feeds and line returns.

Thanks Graham (and Mike) - that should come in very handy.

Re: XML Query alternative to the NBN Exchange Add In

Hello Graham

Thanks for posting this XML report, this will really help when exporting to the NBN Gateway, when users can't get the Recorder 6 addin to work.

I have had a quick go, and there are a couple of typos in the caption attribute of the column elements which are important to correct
1. "Sensative" should be "Sensitive. This is important to change as otherwise the Gateway will not recognise any records flagged as sensitive as sensitive and so these records will be displayed to the public
2 "Recorders" should be "Recorder".  Not changing this means that the Gateway will not recognise recorder names and apply the access controls correctly (they will be treated as an attribute of the record instead with potentially a different access control)

Best wishes

Re: XML Query alternative to the NBN Exchange Add In

Thanks Graham.

I've made the changes but cant see any option to remove the existing version before uploading the revised version. Can someone do this for me?

Edit - I've renamed the new version so I can upload it but the old version needs to be removed still.
