Re: Report Wizard unhandled error

When formulating a request with the report wizard, I made my selections for a species per site report, selecting place, taxon information required, designation set and attributes. The report didn't run, instead it showed me RecorderApp.exe error message, warning an unhandled error has occurred in the application.

exceptional message : An error occurred executing the following SQL: CREATE UNIQUE CLUSTERED INDEX IX_OCCURENCE_KEY ON "#REPORT_OUTPUT" (OCCURENCE_KEY, [TYPE] ).

Exceptional Stack

EOleException : The CREATE UNIQUE INDEX statement terminated because a duplicate key was found for the object 'dbo.#REPORT_OUTPUT______________________________________________________
and the index name 'IX_OCCURANCE_KEY' . The duplicate key value is (EHS000010000TMGA, T)

No, see http://forums.nbn.org.uk/viewtopic.php?id=1362

I thought I had posted an updated (i.e. it still occurs) on this but apparently not. I thought I had found the specific parameters that appeared to be causing it - I'll have another look.

Hi Pauline,
Yes, unfortunately that is a bug which will be fixed in the next release of Recorder but is not currently fixed.

Re: Report Wizard unhandled error

Thanks for looking at this problem, but was wondering is there another way of generating a report on taxon_occurences for a number of site names, we need to extract records urgently.

Re: Report Wizard unhandled error

It can probably be done with an XML Report.  If you can let me know exactly what you are trying to do I will see if I can help. What is the basis for selecting the Locations How many locations are you selecting at one time ? Which fields do you want in the report and do you want to include/ exclude unchecked, invalid, zero abundance etc.

The reports I have uploaded to
http://forums.nbn.org.uk/uploads.php?file=LC_LatestRecordForSite.zip contains a report which will give information on all the Taxon Occurrences for  specified Locations. This will give you an idea
of what can be done.

Re: Report Wizard unhandled error

Hi Mike

The urgent report is based on lichen observations in initally four locations, I can give you a run down of Report Wizard request.

-Report about a place
-Four place names selected
-Include Taxon Information
-Selected Information
-Checklist (Recorder 3.3) (ticked all taxa from list)
-New Layout
-Select Attributes
Observation - Obs Abundance, Obs Comment, Obs Record Type
        Determination - Obs Determiner
Sample - Sample Sp Ref, Sample Date, Sample Location, Sample Recorders, Sample Admin Areas
    Survey - Survey Name
Taxon - Taxon Common Name, Taxon Latin Name, Taxon Status Short Name

Exclude all unchecked, invalid, zero abundance records etc.

Thank you for your help

Pauline
