I guess its got something to do with the release of Gateway, version 4 tomorrow

My website http://www.ukflymines.co.uk/ uses iframes to embed NBN Grid Maps. The URL's on my site no longer connect to the www.brc.ac.uk server.

Dreamweaver CS5 Live view  reports:-

Server Not Found

The page "http://www.brc.ac.uk/schemes/NBNWidget/tvkGridmap.aspx?tvk=NBNSYS0000029700&css=http://www.ukflymines.co.uk/ukflymines.css" was not loaded because Dreamweaver could not find the server "www.brc.ac.uk". Please make sure you are connected to the internet and the server name is correct.

Internet Explorer 8 reports:-

Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage

Is that because the server is down today?

Hi Brian

Apologies for the down time. It is due to some building work affecting CEH in Wallingford where the BRC servers are located. The NBN Gateway servers in Lancater are unaffected. Normal service should be resumed on Monday at 9am.

Unfortunately the work is not finished and there are two more periods of down time scheduled on
Wednesday 6th April 5.30pm - late
Thursday 7th April 5.30pm - late

The good news was that the down time scheduled for 7th April 2011 was not needed as work completed ahead of time.

The bad news is that another period of down time has been planned to extend the SAN at CEH Wallingford. The outage is due on 20th April from 5pm to 9pm at the latest.

All BRC websites will be unavailable for this period so the EasyMaps service will not be working.
