Re: Missing records from export

One of our recorders has been trying to send me his records as NBN zip file exports. He is doing this as a simple Export Data of a whole survey, so no filters or anything and no transfer of custody. The export picks up all the survey events and samples, but it is missing most of the taxon occurrences and their associated determinations. Those that are included in the export file are mostly old records that I send him some time ago. The more recent ones he has added himself are all missing except for one sample, and I can't see anything different about that sample.

We have now tried this several times and the result is always the same. I know it must be something obvious, but it has me baffled - any thoughts?

Re: Missing records from export

Does the survey contain any unchecked observations or observations flagged as Failed/Pending Verification? These are excluded from exports when you select a survey and then do the export using Tools - Export Data. Confidential observations are also excluded unless ‘Enable export of confidential occurrences’ is ticked on the General tab in Tools - Options. Tools - Export Management enables unchecked and Failed/Pending Verification observations to be included. I updated the help to clarify what is in/excluded in exports last month and Mary has made it available via the forum: http://forums.nbn.org.uk/viewtopic.php?pid=8812#p8812 .

Re: Missing records from export

Thanks, Sally. It turned out that all his records were still unchecked. So simple, once you know the answer!
