I am in the process of exporting records to a new database we have set up for our bird group. I am exporting the data and transferring the custody to the bird group and I have realised that when I do this I have also transferred the custody of the individual (recorder). This would be fine if the individuals only recorded bird data but in several instances it means we have lost custody of some of our most prolific recorders (who are also linked to other records), not a major issue but it does mean we lose the ability to add notes about the recorder and update changes of address etc. is there anyway to get around this and be able to retain custodianship of the individual?
