Re: NBN Exchange Addin Failure

On running the NBN Exchange addin it runs the validation and then just stops - the option box fails to come up and nothing happens. Everything seems to be installed correctly.

We could try just reinstalling but if there is a definative answer I'd prefer to provide that to out ICT department as they will have to do it.

Re: NBN Exchange Addin Failure

Hi Graham

Last time we tried to use NBN Exchange we had a similar problem. I wasn't directly involved, but as I recall we had to send a copy of our whole database to the NBN to have them do the work for us.

As far as I am aware we have had no resolution to this problem and we are probably due to have another go sometime soon. I vaguely recall being told that one of the updates would address some aspects of this situation, but your experience suggests otherwise.

Re: NBN Exchange Addin Failure

I have now found the thread relating to our problem and I see that in our case the process finishes, but produces an empty output file. So maybe not the same problem (although it is possible that you just haven't left yours long enough to produce a - possibly empty - output).

Our thread is here http://forums.nbn.org.uk/viewtopic.php?id=1804

but expect more when we try to test it again soon.

Re: NBN Exchange Addin Failure

It's hard to know if it's the same issue - at least you get an empty file. When the ICT person runs it it still stops but does produce an xml file but nothing else.

I must admit I'm only running it to produce the xml file as we use our own extraction query to get data in NBN exchange format and that produces better results than the exchange add in so if we can get away without the xml file, which we probably can, then it's not vital. Still want it working though.

Sounds interesting, any chance of a look at your extraction query?

Hi Rob

It's on this site is the file uploads. Here's a thread on it.

Re: NBN Exchange Addin Failure

Thanks Graham

On reading the thread I note that Graham French pointed out a couple of errors which you then corrected. I have looked at the downloaded file and it seems you corrected one of them wrongly.

Your original Sensative, should have been changed to Sensitive, but actually now reads Sensetive.

I have fixed it in my download, but I guess it should be fixed in the uploaded file as well.

Re: NBN Exchange Addin Failure

Hi Rob

Thanks for pointing that out - seems odd as our version, which should be the same, has sensitive. Will replace.
