Re: Boundary not loading in map window

Hello all,

I am having some trouble with a importing a boundary into R6 and wondered if someone might have a solution.

The boundary i have is of the Irish Sea off the North West coast, a cut down version of the Merseyside/Lancashire coast and offshore works, but when retain the Cumbria and offshore area R6 goes through all the motions of doing the import but then nothing appears on the map.

The boundary itself is a polygon from MapInfo, i have simplified it as much as possible without compromising the area to be searched against, and run checks for any overlaps within the polygon.

The polygon consists of 574 points, Is there a limit to the size of boundaries in R6?

Any help would be appreciated

Update: Solution

Just in case anyone has a similar issue!

The problem here was the boundary i had received turned out to be in a co-ordinate system Recorder 6 couldn't recognise (Robinson NAD27), and nothing to do with the size/complexity of the boundary!

Saving a copy with a British co-ordinate system projection has solved the mystery and the boundary now imports into R6 perfectly.
