Recently we had Recorder installed on the network. I've been having trouble with the NBN Exchange Addin which just seems to hang after doing the validation. Looking at the database in SQL Server Management Studio Express with the standalone version, which I still have on one PC has lots of things listed in the Stored Procedures folder and the Scalar-valued Functions.

On the networked version I can see almost none of these. Half those listed in the Scalar-valued function as missing including some that seem to relate to the NBN Exchange addin which suggests this hasn't installed properly. There's only 3 stored functions in the network version and masses in the standalone. Some again relate to the NBN exchange addin but there's plaenty of others.

This looks odd to me or is it?

Hi Graham
This does sound odd, though not entirely to do with the exchange addin. On a complete up to date install of Recorder with no extra addins you would expect >40 scalar functions. I presume you are logging in with system admin rights?

It is true that I'm not logging on with admin rights - could this be a reason? I am getting that sorted and it will be interesting to see if it is any different.

In theory, no this should not make a difference to the functions you can see (as opposed to the functions you can use) but it is worth checking if there is a difference.

It appears that a database administrator can see the files so that explains that part. This just leaves sorting out the NBN Exchange Add In and for that I will ask a seperate question.
