Re: Importing double-barrelled surnames

Just to report an unexpected behaviour when importing a record from a person with a double-barrelled name using the import wizard. If I import

Dr A. Smith-Jones

It comes up with one person as you would expect, but if I import

Smith-Jones, Dr A.

I get two people

Smith-Jones, and
Dr A.

Only a minor issue but just thought it could be noted and maybe corrected....

Re: Importing double-barrelled surnames

I think this is because the comma is used as a separator, and not related to double-barrelled names. Recorder thinks you are importing two observers. You could easily test this by trying to import:
Smith, Dr A.

Not so unfortunately, as importing

White, Dr A.

recognises one person, whilst importing

White-Smith, Dr A.

recognises two people

White-Smith
Dr A.

A quirk for people to be aware of...

Re: Importing double-barrelled surnames

Fixing this in the Recorder code is easy enough, but before I go ahead can anyone think of a usage of hyphens in the imported observers data which is not for a double barrelled name, so I can be sure I don't break anything?
