Re: Taxon author in taxon_biotope_association

Hello,

not really a life-threatening issue but something that probably can be easily solved in a next release: when populating the taxon_biotope_association table, the species are shown in the right hand panel of the biotope dictionary browser. Unfortunately the application adds brackets to the taxon-authorities in this list, whereas they should be reproduced unchanged from the taxon table.

And a related problem: taxa at the species level are shown in the right hand panel but genera (didn't check it for other taxon levels) are not (association details are shown but the taxon name is empty)

Re: Taxon author in taxon_biotope_association

As far as I can recall the taxon_biotope_association table has never been populated for the UK version of the taxon dictionary. In my personal system (v6.15.4.238 0000000T) it is empty. I have tried adding a couple of rows to it but they don’t display in the biotope dictionary as you say they should so I can’t investigate further. Does this mean Recorder D, the German build, differs from the UK version in this area?

No, there is no difference in the code, the taxa should appear in the dictionary though there is a lack of test data for this on this side of the channel!

Frederic, you were right, the change was trivial so it will be fixed in the next version of Recorder.

Sally I just spotted the reason why your biotopes aren't appearing. The code has a bug in it - the query filters on Biotope Key but gets passed a Biotope List Item Key. In Germany my guess is that these tables are in synch so no problem, but this is not the case in UK dictionaries so it does not work. As usual - fixed in the next release!
