Re: Recorder 2002 startup error

Our one PC that runs Recorder 2002 successfully is now refusing to load up and gives the following error:

---------------------------
Application Error
---------------------------
Exception EOleSysError in module Recorder2000.ex_ at 000E0BC9.
Error accessing the OLE registry.
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------

Nothing has been changed on this PC since the last time R2002 was used last week.

Can anyone help?

Thanks

Re: Recorder 2002 startup error

The only things I can suggest is that you try removing the workstation  installation using Control Panel/ Add Remove Program and then re-installing the workstation. Even if it doesn't install you may get useful error messages  identifying where the problem is.

Re: Recorder 2002 startup error

That sounds like a good idea but will that mean we'll lose all the settings we've set up in the current installation? Also, the software isn’t actually installed on the PC - it was installed on a server so that it could be used from various workstations (not concurrently) via a mapped network drive. Presumably it will be OK to uninstall it from the server? It won’t remove the database will it?

Re: Recorder 2002 startup error

Sorry I was thinking Recorder 6 rather than R2002. You shouldn't need to touch the server, but I will need to load a  copy of R2002 to work  exactly what is required.
