Hi,
The latest recorder 6 crashes a virtualbox machine xp instance. (xp = host) It dosent start any more. This happened on 2 computers. I guess that the sql server is responsible. The setup proceeded until some where before the window of the database password should appear.

Which service pack are you on ?  SQL Server 2005 will corrupt machine running XP Service pack 1. You should  have been warned about this when being supplied with the latest version. Service pack 2 is Ok, but there are other not so serious problems with service pack 3.
