This is something that has been a minor irritation to me as noted elsewhere. Location Names are the only display field in this dialogue. Although I know I can search for items by file code now, blessed relief that is, I did come across an item in the registry that suggests other changes could be made;

HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-3130671068-1795136530-871740139-1124\Software\Dorset Software\Recorder 6\Forms\Locations\Feature Field\F.Item_Name, FT.Short_Name

I'm still finding my way round R6 but this does seem to suggest that what is displayed by default could be something else.

Has anyone come across this? Made changes, had success?

I would like to have File Code - Name as a concatenated item as the display field as all our file codes relate to 10Km squares and our data is organised that way.

I will at some point attempt it unless someone has reasons why not.
