Re: Species browser bug

I've just dragged the central divider between the two panes of the species browser to the far right of the window (to hide the species details and synonyms) whilst creating a rucksack.  Now I can't unhide it as the bar doesn't move back. Any suggestions??? Or just another bug...

This is a bug. It only happens if you change the Dictionary after you have moved the divider to the right hand side. If you don't change the dictionary then the bar can be dragged  back in the normal way.  I suspect this is why the problem has gone unreported.

The fix requires editing the registry. Make sure Recorder is closed (very important)  and run Regedit. Goto HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Dorset SoftWare/Recorder 6/Forms and delete the entry for TaxonDictBrowser. It will be recreated automatically next time you close Recorder.

If you now open Recorder and the taxon Dictionary browser the divider should be in a reasonable place.

An extra point is that If you have the active window tool bar showing there is an icon on this (a red plus sign which on my machine is left of the question mark), This will hide the Dictionary Item Details without having to move the divider.  The toolbar is normally shown, but if not go to Tools/options/Toolbars and make sure the that 'Show active window toolbar ' is ticked.

Re: Species browser bug

Thanks Mike

Worked perfectly.  And thanks for the tip on hiding it via the menu bar which I'd previously overlooked.
