Cumbria Biodiversity Data Centre Manager
Salary £24,646 - £26,276

Tullie House Museum, Carlisle, is looking for someone with proven management, interpersonal and IT skills to take full day-to-day responsibility for the delivery of the Cumbria Biodiversity Data Centre. This will include management of staff, volunteers and resources. You will have the lead role in liaison with customers, development of policies and plans for promotion of the Centre and for fundraising. A key role in this first year will be to negotiate data needs and services with existing and potential users to ensure on-going funding for the project.

You are likely to hold a degree in environmental science, information management or business management. You should have substantial experience of managing complex projects and will have strong people- and resource-management skills. You will have experience of strategic planning, working with a wide range of partners, fundraising and customer care and also have an interest in the natural environment and experience of working with organisations within the environmental sector.

The post is full time for 12 months with the expectation of extension should funding be secured
