Don't know if this has already been asked, couldn't find a relevant thread.

I have just tried to install SQL Server 2005 Management Studio SE on a Windows 7 machine to get the response - this is not supported on this operating system - can I install the 2008 version and attach it to the 2005 database installed by Recorder 6?

You can  use the 2008  tools with the 2005 database and I have seen them working this way. I would hope the 2008 tools would install ok. I have then running under Windows 7, but installed with SQL Server 2008.  Please advise how you get on.

Thanks for the confirmation Mike,

I've installed it and it appears to be working - certainly attached to the NBNData without any errors, not actually tried doing anything, 'cos I didn't need to at the moment.
